Introduction

This is a user documentation for Takeout - a friendly, versatile Shopify theme specially designed for restaurant owners and food sellers.


Install Takeout

Follow these steps to install Takeout:

  1. Log in to your Shopify Admin.Go to Shopify Admin and log in with your credentials.
  2. From your dashboard, go to Online Store > Themes.This will take you to the Themes page where you can see your current theme and other available themes.
  3. Visit the Shopify Theme Store.On the Themes page, click on Visit Theme Store. This will open the Shopify Theme Store in a new tab.
  4. Search for the "Takeout" theme.In the Shopify Theme Store, use the search bar to look for the "Takeout" theme.
  5. Select the "Takeout" theme.Once you find the "Takeout" theme, click on it to view its details and preview the theme.
  6. Purchase the theme.Click the Buy theme button and follow the prompts to complete your purchase. Ensure you have your payment details ready.
  7. Add the theme to your store.After purchasing, click on Add theme to your store. This will install the theme to your Shopify account.
  8. Apply the theme.Go back to your Shopify Admin, navigate to Online Store > Themes, and find the "Takeout" theme in your library. Click Actions > Publish to apply the theme to your store.
  9. Customize the theme.Click the Customize button next to the "Takeout" theme to open the theme editor. Here, you can adjust the settings and customize the theme to fit your brand.

Page Settings

Follow these steps to access and configure page settings:

  1. Log in to your Shopify Admin.Go to Shopify Admin and log in with your credentials.
  2. From your dashboard, go to Online Store > Themes.This will take you to the Themes page where you can see your current theme and other available themes.
  3. Customize your theme.On the Themes page, locate your current theme and click on the Customize button. This will open the theme editor.
  4. Select a page to edit.In the theme editor, use the dropdown menu at the top of the screen to select the page you want to edit (e.g., Home page, Product page, Collection page).
  5. Open page settings.Once you have selected a page, its settings will appear in the left-hand sidebar. Here, you can customize various aspects of the page according to your needs.
  6. Adjust layout and content.Use the settings available to adjust the layout, add or remove sections, and configure the content on the page.
  7. Save your changes.After making the desired changes, click the Save button in the top right corner of the theme editor to apply your changes.
  8. Preview your changes.Navigate to the top right corner and click Preview to see how your changes look on your store.
  9. Publish your changes.When you’re satisfied with how everything looks, make sure your changes are saved. Your customizations will now be live on your store.

Section Settings

Follow these steps to open and configure section settings:

  1. Log in to your Shopify Admin.Go to Shopify Admin and log in with your credentials.
  2. From your dashboard, go to Online Store > Themes.This will take you to the Themes page where you can see your current theme and other available themes.
  3. Customize your theme.On the Themes page, locate your current theme and click on the Customize button. This will open the theme editor.
  4. Select a section.In the theme editor, you will see a preview of your store on the right and a list of sections on the left. Scroll through the list and select the section you want to configure.
  5. Open section settings.Once you've selected a section, its settings will appear in the left-hand sidebar. Here, you can customize various aspects of the section according to your needs.
  6. Save your changes.After making the desired changes, click the Save button in the top right corner of the theme editor to apply your changes.
  7. Preview your changes.Navigate to the top right corner and click Preview to see how your changes look on your store.
  8. Publish your changes.When you’re satisfied with how everything looks, make sure your changes are saved. Your customizations will now be live on your store.
